Welcome from N.E. Ohio! Awesome looking truck. The "making" of oil sounds like a leaking fuel density compensator. It's easy to bypass, and there is a lot of help for that on this site.
Welcome from N.E. Ohio! Best bet is to have Steel Soldiers on your phone, ready to ask questions as they come up. If the truck is ready to go hopefully everything will go smooth. Just remember, the Deuce's top speed is 55 with a good tailwind. So be aware of the other drivers around you.
First and reverse gears being unsynchronized means you should come to a complete stop before shifting into those gears.
