    M35a1 Gun Truck Nancy

Well, I have finished the build of Nancy and I’m quite happy with how it turned out. The Dynamo kit really help build it out correctly and along with scratch building a few items it wasn’t too bad. I’m most proud of how the drilled-out stake pockets turned out and really give the bed sides a...

    M35a1 Gun Truck Nancy

It's time to switch from working on the fullsized Army Trucks to the scale model ones for the winter. And on this episode we are going to start on the 1/35 scale M35a1 Gun Truck known as Nancy from the Vietnam War. Using the kit from AFV Club and Dynamo along with some scratchbuilding to make...

trying to decode m35a2 bumper numbers and the FSB painted all over truck

Nope, the C-8 is C company vehicle number 8. It's just coincidence that it's the same as the standard bridgeweight of the M35 series of trucks.

trying to decode m35a2 bumper numbers and the FSB painted all over truck

C-8 would be the 8th truck of C company, not the weight rating. That would have been on the bridgeweight plate on the front of the grill and on the passenger door.

Went to see a nice M37, it has the dreaded death wobble

Stock NDT tires? If so they could have some flat spotting from sitting. I know it takes a bit of driving to get them knocked back round. Plus the M37's don't like much more speed than 40-45 after that they sound like they are going to come apart. If it is death wobble, it usually is due to tie...

    Starting procedures...M38 vs M38 A1 :)

With my M38a1, especially if it has been sitting a week or so, is to fully pull the choke and the hand throttle out 1/2 or a little more and crank until it starts. Once it fires up, I push the choke to half and the hand throttle down to like 1/4 throttle and leave it there for a minute until the...

    Decoding bumper markings

I think you are also seeing multiple layers of markings when you are looking at the front bumper. The AA-31 looks different and on top of the other marking.

    M37 engine problems

I pretty sure it's not the pump diaphragm, but I'll check the crankcase vent.

    M37 engine problems

I beginning to start work again on my 53' M37 that has been sidelined the last year or so due to excessive smoking and I just want to run it by everyone before getting started so that I can start to accumulate parts for it. Right now the motor starts and runs great, has proper compression on all...

    Adding Turn Signals?

Should be fairly easy using the military standard turn signal switch and flasher unit. Here's a vendor that lists them. https://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/tusiswm3m8et.html https://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/tusiflcoun11.html There is a wiring harness that connects the two units and should...
