Truly incredible work Mike. Makes me tired just looking at the build and thinking of the amount of work it takes to build something like this. Congratulations. Job well done.
I don’t use any of the old seatbelt stuff. I buy all new from LMC. I have used other sources but these are the best. Get the 3 point retractable kit and get the plastic sleeved ones for the centers. Lap belts for the rear seat.
Get black no matter what your interior colors are as the belts that...
Thank you.
I use the Tuffy brand console 10 inch wide.

Ok, testing the doghead relay I have
Red wire 12.5v all the time
Purple/white 10.25 with key tuning to start
Purple wire 11.50 when key tuning to start
tested the purple wire for continuity from starter switch to starter and 0.0
still nothing….not even a”click” from the starter.
New...
If when the key is turned to engage the starter and it does power the starter relay the problem has to be from the relay to the starter…the purple wire.
My question is does the starter solenoid just get power when the ket is turned to “run” and once the motor is running no power to the...
Ok, thanks. I have seen the wire diagram but wanted confirmation that I was reading it correctly.
the truck was converted to 12v and I have gone through the glow plug and charging system and they are working fine…so was the starting system or so I thought. Went to start the truck one morning...
Where does the switched 24v or 12v (if converted to 12v) solid purple wire from the starter relay go from the relay? Straight to the starter solenoid? And once the ket is turned to the starter position does the voltage drop off the starter solenoid? Thanks.
New project bought not running, PO has done a lot of work to the truck and it was running. It’s had the dog head relay done.
Symptom’s include, brand new batteries I installed.
No crank, it has 24v to the red wire on starter relay key off and the purple/white does have 12v when in the “start”...
You have 2 options for dashes, vinyl over foam with the metal core. Or polyurethane.
The vinyl over foam is the closest to OEM, over the last year Dashes Direct has made some quality improvements regarding fit and finish. They are better now. However they still do not fit like the OE...
Thanks all, I do think it’s the solenoid. The truck will start without the IP pink wire attached. So it’s stuck open.
I did take it apart and the barrel and shaft we spotless. Probably the switch itself. I have a new one on the way.
Appreciate all the help.
David
Buy your replies I am assuming the problem is at the pump if the ignition key is shutting off the power to the pink IP wire?
Good idea’s I’ll try and test the solenoid.
Thanks
