Welding complete. Not claiming to be a good welder, but after sanding the mounting surfaces flat seems like I achieved good fusion. Back to paint for some Low Gloss Black Rust-Oleum Farm .
In retrospect, I should have used Seymour Weldthru zinc primer instead of the rustoleum self etching...
Maybe, but there are a few unknowns that might make them useless.
1. This is for Mastercraft Baja seats and the bolt/stud pattern for other seats will be different*.
2. How "accurately" they welded/mounted the seat mounting pads in the truck.
3. Designed only for 11ga/0.12" thickness. Using...
I got the laser cut and CNC bent steel seat brackets delivered earlier this week. Been prepping/priming it to weld it up this weekend. Merry Christmas to me !
Designed/test printed a jig to test height/bolt fitment.

What they'll look like assembled, minus weldment...
Yessir, the primer works. And I did give it a few presses throughout the process, including afterwards, and it had a good amount of resistance at the end but nothing out of the ordinary (based on your advice all over these forums, I periodically have given it a couple pumps while the truck has...
I believe I did successfully prime the system by gently, slowly, pressurizing the fuel tank to 5-7PSI via the return. Thanks to @fuzzytoaster for the inspiration with his schrader valve fuel cap.
I haven't attempted to start it... I would like to have a dash cluster and start button for that...
Thanks Keith ! Do you think I should bleed it in stages ? Or if I bleed it all the way to the return, that would suffice for all ? Since I removed the filter housings I have air in this hardline after all of the filtration/separation (in addition to all of the other lines, but all other lines...
Pushed hard through today with minimal updates since I have a feeling today was the last "nice" day of the year (seems as though winter has finally arrived in central NC starting tomorrow...).
Airless cab springs installed from EcoHubs/@Xengineguy
About half the weight, for anyone...
I know everyone groans at this standard SS answer but... What does the TM say ? Those TMs are a huge advantage of these trucks over commercial vehicles... the FSM is basically published (the 20-x series and the 24P), as well as an illustrated owners manual (365-10).
The 365-10 is the...
Just double checked, mine do not have that. Otherwise I would hopefully have been smart enough to spend 15mins designing a plate for the top vs the 2hrs for Option 2
What is that from mounted in your first picture ? I don't recall that being underneath my original seats. That connects all of the mounting points together, which was one of the objectives of option 2. Although the original seat mounts and the A1P2 adapters I measured were about 1/16" steel...
Greetings SS community,
I wanted to elicit the braintrusts' thoughts on seat adapters. Currently designing a bracket to adapt the stock cab brackets to use some mastercraft seats similar to the A1P2 seats I acquired for a good deal. Obviously would love some overland hyped scheel-mann seats...
As others have said, that is an ABS sensor.
In addition to checking if your dash switch is in the OFF position, you should check the wires for the exhaust brake solenoid behind the engine block (should have a braided airline from the exhaust brake leading directly to it).
I had chafes on both...
Lastly, I set my sights on working inside the cab. During the nice weather we've been having, I've been focusing on exterior projects since I can run a little heater in the cab and continue working... but waiting on replacement hardware from McMaster and the fuel filter bracket before I go any...
