Looking for ideas on something similar @ back of LMTV but simpler sense it is one project use Thinking FMTV Cargo Handling Crane. Lift up a big retaining wall block and drop back down.
Question is though does that have a Free Spool...
Hmm simple idea.. Snow roof removal. By yourself guess track, cable & pulley opposite side to follow orr something McGiver-ish see about 46" in the video.

Then again snow build up on roof happens "before" there is any snow leaning against lower walls. So I may have to eat my words here. Rain does not build up that I've noticed.
This side 75? 80? % clear. Been Shake Rattle and Rolling the ceiling on each side daily. First whole side of Shelter roof to fully clear was logically be cause that side fit the Biomechanical advantages of the strongest side of Herculean physique. That and it's the side facing the sun.
This side now clear of snow. My Snow-cules work out system will hit the shelves just before next winter. Granted I'll have atrophied back to my skinny self by then.
The weight of snow on bottom 1/4 of walls is pulling material taught more than I ever could with ropes. Though yeah.. Weather caught me before I could finish few of attachments on one side. Again though.. Snow load on walls pretty much negates that as issue .
Got to repair center most lower...
Did more "shake rattle and roll" of each big section of 8 ceiling sections between Headers
. 20 min or so each section. Wearing me out but getting more snow off. Going to look like a skinny Hercules by time done with this work out
Not the Purlins that run horizontally between main uprights/That term used in metal buildings too.
Think it's "Headers" (?) that span across to form main roof support as part of each of the main vertical uprights ?
Thimmkk my 2" rachet straps added this summer just to help carry snow load is helping. Though also may he hindering get snow off. It creates 4 pockets per ceiling square between the main rafters.. Correct name escaping me right now.
We got about 8-10 inches dry snow. No ice
Won't get above freezing till around next Wed. Or Thurs? Snow again maybe next Tues. Temps actually going down to below zero in few days from now.
How have y'all removed snow from roof? Last snow I pushed up on ceiling from inside with large pole (broom scrub head on top pole) and it did little to nothing. Got more snow now and will remain well below freezing for another week. Looking for ideas
One idea right now is something that...
Life's smacked me across the head w/a 2x4 sense that post. Put 99% life plans in unwanted directions. Not gotten to installing heater(s). Still a goal though
