Do you have a wiring diagram for that setup? I am looking to use an 804a as a whole house backup and wasn't sure how best to wire it without causing damage to the unit. I initially bought it to use for 3 phase power for a milling machine and lathe in my shop. But no longer have the shop but...
Contactor cleaned up and tested it was definitely hanging up. Now back in the unit and it t looking good, the contactor engagement at the AC interrupter switch appears to be working. I will test the voltage at the posts this weekend. I would like to load test the unit but have to find a...
Thank you sir! One other question, when I get it back together and reinstalled will the contactor close with the power on but not running/energized when I hit the AC interrupter switch? I jumped it to 24v at the battery terminal and it appears to close but wasn't sure if would without the unit...
I used the CRC QD electronic cleaner to clean everything up, so now I want to lubricate it and give it a light bit of corrosion protection. Google results have been contradicting at best. Wasn't sure if there was a spec I should be following. This looks like it was a problem before as there...
What is best used to lubricate the mechanism in the contactor ? Dielectric grease? It was tricky to get out and I certainly don't want to have it corroded again anytime soon.
I got a new voltage regulator installed and it is now making the correct voltage. Now it seems like the AC interrupter contactor is not working properly. I am not hearing a click and when I looked at the troubleshooting guide it said refer to higher manual. I looked through and not sure...
Thank you for the information. The generator shut down right away after the overvoltage fault came on (I wasn't running it with the battle short). Yes I confirmed it is a 804A not the 814A. The hertz was right on but it went from under to over voltage with the change of a voltage regulator. I...
You are absolutely right, I will check the other components to see if they are Libby compatible as there is no telling what happened prior to me purchasing the unit so swapping like for like may not be the answer.
Yes S-12 is in the 60 hertz position.
Green Mountain Generator looks like they...
Thank you, I had gone through the manuals ( I even purchased the printed manuals for the unit) especially the troubleshooting sections. I still not sure if I am dealing with a voltage regulator issue or if it is a damaged winding in the generator head. My knowledge of generator heads is rather...
I had purchased a MEP-804A from an auction and got it running. First issue was under current, only showing 50 volts and 50 volts at the convenience receptacle. So I had purchased and swapped in a new voltage regulator and now I have overvoltage. The hertz is reading correct and the...
