I didn't do anything between the batteries and the PDP, so I really can't imagine what caused this
Is there anything 24 volt behind the instrument panel that could be back feeding 24 volts to the 12 volt post in the PDP?
In my M1088 A1 I've had the Power Distribution Panel up to get 12 volt ignition switched and 12 volt unswitched out to two new fuse panels for accessories.
I've also had the instrument panel on the dash off to paint it. All the gauges and controls came off for painting.
I just put it all back...
That looks bad . . .
Is the transmission toast when this happens?
I haven't taken my filter off yet. I have the new thrust washer, but business and personal issues have delayed the inspection and installation of the washer.
All digits crossed
Did adding the air bags change your ride? My 1088 is a rodeo right now, with no weight on the back. I've been thinking new shocks, air bags in place of the bump stops and a temporary IBC water container to add weight, until I get the habitat box on
Today we installed Furrion side cameras with LED marker lights in place of the original marker lights. The mounting hole spacing is different than the original, so we installed some rivnuts (nutcerts). Eventually we'll add the rear camera to the system, but that might wait until after the...
A fair point.
I think until I get a replacement bolt and sleeve, I'll try to make do with this repair, with an update. It'll certainly be better than what was there, which was almost nothing.
The update: I've ordered this:
Mikalor SUPRA Heavy-Duty Bolt & Barrel Hose Clamp / Clip - 430SS...
Thanks for that. I'll order a bolt to have in stock, but I made at least a temporary fix today.
Today I tried lowering the cab onto a steel support on the bottom of the bolt. No joy. The sleeve seems to be welded to the bolt.
So I cut the upper rubber bushing for the drivers side, split it...
I'm trying to replace the rubber cab bushing, drivers side on my M1088. I took the bumper off for access. The nut came off the bolt easily. The rubber disintegrated. The bolt won't come out because it's frozen to the sleeve. I've hammered on it, I've used penetrating oil and today I heated...
Drivers side cab bushing replacement - I removed the bumper so that I could get at it better. The nut came off the bolt easily and the old rubber bushings flaked off. They were still there, but completely rotten. Now I'm stuck for a bit, because I can't get the bolt out. The sleeve is frozen...
I replaced the stock mirrors on the cab with the Freightliner Cascadia mirrors. In addition to the threaded holes that held the old mirror on, there were some open holes under the lower mirror bracket. I cut some small steel discs and welded them into those holes. I'm going to put some button...
