I highly doubt that it would be listed. To be clear, I tried to list it as an alternative. Way better than hyd oil listed in the original post. Slots in between crude, but very effective motor oil and transmition oil . It works in simple transmittions, rear axles, and hydraulics. I think...
I doubt the 15w 40 will make trans run hot. Mine don,t, probably colder, loaded, as said above. Option 3, or 4, may be universal tractor fluid. More or less 20 wt. Has some EP additives. Less solvent and slightly thicker than AtF. Probably like obsolete trans oil type A. Affordable, and may...
My a2 has 2 fill schraders, each front. Look inboard. No Ctis stuff between inbd and center openings into rims. GEMPLERs sells O rings, no relations to me.
12 years on same tire? Any way, look into for fill valve 2 of 2. Sounds like a clog outboard. Inbd is tight for clearance, but usable. Goes to same spot on rim as fitting you show.
If not a parade truck, easiest to tell wire rope outfit what you want and let them supply how they preference, or find a Bosun that can splice cable. Good luck. My truck needed reinforcing in the cab control box and tune up adjustment at control valve under truck. Just FYI if disappointing first...
General torque spec./ values, based on size, thread type, and grade, are readily available. Even listed in older Chilton's and Motor books. I'd go by those if jammed up. American car shop manuals used to list them also. Probably to save noting spec for every bolt- like thermostat housing screws...
I didn't intend to drag out this "Thread", just wanted to see if a could get some tire info. FYI- this is cut and past of what the tire vender said. Very less than helpful.
We are unable to check the origin of the tires as we do not have physical access to our warehouse, as well as...
Yup- will leave to others..... funny/ sad: vender refused to tell where made, or if works with my (OEM) bead locks. I probably will find 1 non cracked 14 20 tire soon, 7 #395's when needed if the 14-20's USA supply really do die-out.
Yes, but size listed as the 14.00-20 and an E Bay vender has them when I did a "14.00 r20 Military tire" search. I may be limited to (aging) surplus but thought I'd ask on this site. Tires hold air A ok, but my one on rear is old enough to move to "spare-only" duty.
Hi all. Could not find a note by "Search". Did or can anybody report back on these tires? I think they are new, maybe imports in the $400- $500 range. Need a 14.00 R20 as I'm running a older spare. The Surplus ones are aging, and I ain't set up to buy and install 7 395's now. Thanks for any insight!
You probably have a very good handle on your gear. I also see no trouble in mixing 10-20W hyd oil with 20-30 wt. My A2 Allison trans has the Gov Spec engine oil in. I still think Universal Trans Fluid may be better than your Hyd oil. Just a bit more money than your hyd oils. your fight!
My 2 cents. Oil questions are "big can O worms" issues. Dextron is common trans fluid. GM hydromantic for decades. Very common and widely used. Many hyd systems can use motor oil. Expect noise cold/ sluggish. Hyd oil is cheaper, usually thinner, and lacks additives hyd systems do not need. My...
Agree with above, and I'd triple check batts AND pull starter hot, hit switch and confirm 24V pos. Lots of power in 2 or 4 batts to risk an acid bath or fire! Good luck.
