Just one? I laugh every time I see a new post about replacing tires. Removing 20 year on the rim tires was a total of about 1 1/2 full days to deal with all 5. Slow, lots of BFH and a lots of sweat. It can definitely replace the gym for a day (or two). Nice work my friend.
Your tub looks to be I pretty good shape considering its age. Not fun welding the thin stuff, but from those pics it doesn't look like you're really going to have much to weld.
Thinking...hmm sometimes I see the TM number of the data plates I looked at mine....insie, outside, only one data [late (no holes where one might have been).
Also throw some WD40 on there, it will keep the water off the metal. maybe find something to create an overhang to prevent the hinges from getting wet?
I have a set of these as well that i removed the tires for my truck. It is too bad they wont work. I may just remove the CTIS parts and take them to scrap for the aluminum.

Just because I had this as an issue in my LMTV when I replaced them with LED. The numbers in my headlight bucket were located in the wrong spot. Almost like the guy putting the numbers in rotated them one off. It took me a few to figure this out
Not as familiar with anything beyond an A0, but that could be harness points for a winch control switches. That harness was an option in the A0, but may have been included in A1 and above applications (my attempt at a semi educated guess?)
The trail rating is only achieved if the vehicle has conquered the Rubicon trail. That trail has been Jeeps proving grounds for off road vehicles for many years. Most of the factory pre-production models take a beating, but if they survive the trip, they achieve a trail rated badging.
