    this will be the adapter from the 3inch filler hose to the 2 inch fuel tank neck.just a piece of 2 inch ID filler hose on the small end to the tank neck. 16.00 bucks on ebay, and stainless steel!

    yes, its for early 60's J series trucks, gonna be an extended time for install as it will take some more extensive work to get the tank mounts installed correctly. I don't want to have to do it twice!! I got this tank from T rex auto online, comes with a sending unit as well

    now that I got my 87 GMC out of the shop I can get started on getting my new plastic tank for my 715 ready to go!! gonna take some modification for the mounting brackets but not to severe.I will keep ya posted on the progress!

    I'm guessing that they wanted an extra mounting bolt for the water pump due to the heavy 4 groove pulley that they wanted. Military intelligence seemed to be 2 words that didn't go together back then!!

    I picked up a NOS , TRW water pump for the civilian 230 and I think they must have made a different timing cover housing for these motors for the military

I know the military pump has 8 bolts and the civilian model has 7 for mounting as well as different...

    hey there!! well I got the 715 fired up!! I was surprised how easily it started!! No messing around at all, purrs like a kitten!! It needs a water pump but I have found one for it !! Has anyone done away from the heavy 3 belt pulley on the water pump to just a single or lighter double groove...

    well a little up date. getting close to trying to fire it up!! took a whiile to find a correct rotor for the distributor..gonna toss a battery in and spin it over ,then the new plugs and some fuel!! fingers crossed!

    hey there ,thanks for the add! finally found my 715 and now the fun begins!! very solid truck with extremly little rust!! Bonus for me! it needs a fuel tank- like they all seem to, new brakes and to get it running. carb is in pieces at the moment waiting on my new kit to arrive. any tips ,hints...
