I agree with Elijah95, every MTVR I have seen has had it and I have seen a lot of 7 Tons. I use a razor blade to careful scrape it off.

FYI, the ScanGauge I mention in another post shows the Tranny Temp. It would not help if the sensor is bad but it would help confirm that the ECU is not getting any data.
