    M1009 Fuel Neck Housing

Adding a second fuel tank to my M1008 and would like to have the correct housing which needs to come from a M1009. Anyone parting one of these out? And here's what the M1008 part looks like

M1008 turn signal help request <RESOLVED>

Got this one figured out finally. This used to sit for months and fire right up. Now it can't sit overnight or the batteries will be dead. Decided to spend a little time on that issue. Trying to figure out what was different. I had previously changed the steering column and gauge cluster...

M1008 turn signal help request <RESOLVED>

To clarify, headlights are flashing with the turn signals, not flickering. Headlight harness is new, grounds have been cleaned with a stainless bonding brush and installed with dielectric grease. Not a ground issue.

M1008 turn signal help request <RESOLVED>

2/13 update. No response from turn signals. Hazards work as they should with the exception of the headlights also flash along with the marker and brake lights. Started tracing the wires and immediately found the purple wire coming from the flasher was cut. Spliced it back together and turn...

M1008 turn signal help request <RESOLVED>

As I recall, headlights, tail lights, marker lights and brake lights all worked fine. Don't recall ever hearing the flasher work. Can't recall if hazards worked. Went out to check and the battery was dead. Charging it now and will update tomorrow afternoon. These are the schematics that I...

M1008 turn signal help request <RESOLVED>

I've had my M1008 for several years now but never drive it because I nover could get the turn signals to work. I would like to remedy this. As per usual, the wiring had lots of issues when I got it. I have corrected it for the most part, in an attempt to get it back to stock so I could work...

    Puck Style Gooseneck Hitch Install

Part 2 Final fitting of bed. So I put the bed back on and realized that the puck locations were above flush with the raised corrugation of the bed floor. Original plan was to build shim packs to bring each location to flush. Measured each and started shimming. Then decided that was...

    Puck Style Gooseneck Hitch Install

Had the bed off my M1008 to replace the fuel tank and add a second and decided it was a good time to install a gooseneck hitch. Well, since the correct hitch for this vehicle is something like $500 and requires drilling, I figured any hitch would be about as easy to install. Started with a...

6.5 Optimizer to 6.2 Differences (bolts and anything else)

Great video, thank you. I am looking at doing something similar. Did you happen to make any more adapters from that length of pipe you bought? The engine I bought came with the center mount turbo and I was considering cutting off the part that feeds into the intake and working from there. I...

    Hard Starting (sorta)

Was kind of waiting for further instruction (to replace the 2 defective glow plugs) but I went ahead and did it anyway. Both tested bad out of the vehicle as well. This can be considered resolved. Ambient temp of 78 and fired right up with no pedal. Mr Barman, thank you for the mentoring...

    Hard Starting (sorta)

#1 and #7 appear to have been sho #1 and #7 are shorted. All the rest check good.

    Hard Starting (sorta)

Relay is cycling and new filter is ordered. I went ahead and started it today without using the pedal. Temp was about 85 and it took about 5 seconds of cranking before it would fire and 8-10 before it started.

    Hard Starting (sorta)

All are new except the fuel filter. I had to use it on my 87 and haven’t bought another yet. I’ll get it ordered. Starter is a Powermaster that spins it really well.
