I switched the hoses on my -002 to 3/8" DOT air brake lines back in 2012 and have had no issues. Some of you may remember a member RustyStud, he worked at a metro bus company and claimed that is what they ran for their fuel lines.

I finally finished replacing all the hoses on my MEP-002A today. Here are some pictures of how I did the filter to injection pump ( which I forgot to add from my MEP-003A post) . I installed the oneway check valve on the secondary filter outlet. Then ran an almost straight hose to the injection...
"The MEP 003a I have was refurbished by JimC and includes a replacement of the analog gauges with digital. I do hold the switch at start for at least 10 seconds. At no time do the gauges show anything."
I have the same gauges and they also don't display until I flick the main ac breaker on.
