First one I bought from this seller had a weird defect (leak at the casting seam) and he promptly refunded. Second one I got from him was perfect.
Art from Expedition Adventure on YouTube just put Timbren springs on his rig as helpers. Sorry I don't have the direct link to the details but it's effectively the same as using air bags but bulletproof — you just don't get the cool adjustability options.
I think the key mechanism here is the lifting roller chain. It allows for a hook of some sort to continuously rotate - pull the load up and then tilt off to drop. I'm having a tough time imagining a winch or hydraulic solution that would do this repeatedly without needing to re-setup between drops.
I’m running the Orion XS 1400 in my A1R (260A alt) and it’s great. Especially if you have a Victron system.
You have full control of when it draws power and how many amps to pull.
Ahhhh... I see. Yeah that makes sense. I'm going to give 90 a go and see if it holds. The truck does feel much better on pavement at the higher pressures.
Yeah mine can hit 95 with no faults. But I know that's way above the original specs so that's why I suspect the QRVs haves a 90PSI safety to prevent runaway inflation.
So running at 95 PSI had some interesting results. It behaves and sounds like there's a component (QRV??) in the system that regulates to 90 PSI. When I park at 95 PSI, there's audible venting for a few seconds - which is new behavior. Watching with the Dana software, it does fill the tires to...
According to Goodyear the MVT has a K speed rating
Just reflashed my pressure targets based on this! It’s good timing because I’m getting closer to fully loaded weight and I have to think the 95PSI will help. I still need to do the @GeneralDisorder toggle switch mod that gives me a second...
Are you sure the mist isn’t coming from the cab lock/latch? The fluid passes through that on the way to the lift cylinder and it’s very close to the same area as the pump.
Have you checked the cab and PDP grounds? In particular the ground strap behind the grille that ties the cab into the frame. I don't have a ton of experience troubleshooting these but I've observed enough of these posts to know grounds are consistently problematic.
I’m pretty sure that’s the breather line that’s tied into the other side and the axle vent before it runs up behind the cab. I also had a bit of fluid in there but I’m pretty sure it was from overfilling the hub fluid after the EcoHub install.
After some Googling, it looks like certain Peterbilt models have 3 1/2" wide leaf springs. But looking at the pack shown here, your broken clamp doesn't look any worse than this :)
