Thanks as always guys...
(my model year is in my sig :) ). 2007 A1R
I'm not with the truck now, but reading here, I suspect it was the front glad hand vent that was frozen.
I'm not 100% certain I'm going to keep the fronts, the only reason I can think of is for a tow... They need to either be...
I have not replaced any check valves.
The front glad hand is capped (with the vent), hasn’t been touched.
the rear glad hands have been deleted and the ports on the valves plugged.
Has never been an issue, except for that cold morning.
hmm.
Hi everyone.
Question. I recently had my truck up in Colorado and the temps dipped down to 15 overnight. Aside from a long start (I haven't re-connected my ether and didn't have block heater), something I wanted to ask about.
After I let the truck warm up and we were about to head out, I...
A lot of activity involved making room for a pass thru. Here is what I ended up with.
Relocated the ABS and Load Protection device over to the drivers side. In between the battery box and front fender.
For completeness.
ended up finding the issue.
Since I’m mid-rebuild, my drivers step (and washer bottle) are removed. Which also is where a ground is interconnected.
No having that one ground on the washer bottle caused all my lights funniness.
Re attached that ground and all my wired lights are...
Chasing a gremlin during my rebuild. Dash lights are acting weird, headlights don't work. I think I messed up my push button module by accidentally not connecting the ground. I think it was hitting the metal dash and shorting on and off with the bad ground.
During disassembly and paint, I...
Compromised on removing the air mobility jacks. 99% less PIA then trying to get those inner rail bolts
2 1/2 7/16" bolts and plugs. Ready to finish paint tomorrow.
of course needed to make a tool.
Just whack the upper cylinder a few times back and forth and it will pop off.. it's just...
You guys are great!
Started with the axle vent hose...
END OF TASK
The vent at the top of the breather was rusted shut. So the next best breather was the CTIS lines vent. Which performed flawlessly...
I tested air through the cross body line...Thank god that wasn't...
Howdy folks.
It's been a bit since I've posted. I've been neck deep in dismantling, painting, and reassembling. Maybe I should start a build thread?
I'm about 2/3 of the way through painting the chassis, and just started prepping the front end.
In preparation for paint, and because I'm...
Thank you!
I ordered RN10HK valve rebuild kit from NAPA... It will be here next week. I'll report back...
But may be something to add to the "parts spreadsheet"
@Lugnuts checking in on the valve? Any thing to report? the 50024-B and the 50024
I did find what looks like a damaged purge valve on one of them. Since I have everything off for paint, I might as well replace them.
Was just as simple as replacing a couple fittings?
They were working when...
I have a AoH setup.. mostly all rebuilt except a few orings that were not included with the kit..
Mine is aluminum, and I don't need it anymore..
Shoot me a message and we can arrange something.
