Does anyone sell the entire trailer plug replacement for the M998 24V? I'm not looking for the 24 to 12, just the original whole trailer plug assembly and any wiring if possible. My original one was cut off in the harness before I bought it from the auction. Seems like everyone has pieces of it...
You can run a hot wire to the top posts on the IP and see if you hear it clicking or not. If no clicks then that's the issue. You can also put a hose straight from the back of the IP to a jug of fuel and place it in the cab and turn it over and see if it sucks the fuel out. If it doesn't then...
I had a local place in mesa Arizona rebuild this last one that I'm getting ready to install. My opinion only, but I'm not sure i would trust a $212 reman. This last rebuild just cost me $1000, for the rebuild of it.
It was definitely a bad IP... twice. The best I have been able to figure out is that the bio fuel that was in it when I bought it has burned up the IP not once but twice and am getting ready to put another one in. There's nothing else in the system that would make it go out like that. Make sure...
Thanks. That is my plan. Had my old pump rebuilt that I had sitting in the garage rebuilt this week and the guy that rebuilt this one thinks it's the biodiesel or vegetable oil mixture that the military was running that's still in the tank that seized it up. I'm still sending the other pump back...
So just to give an answer on all this, it's the NEW Injection pump that's bad on this thing again unbelievably. I ended up bypassing the entire fuel system with a clear hose from a 5 gallon fuel can straight to the IP inlet with the can sitting level and it should easily pull the fuel from that...
It has the KDS box on it. I bought a harness but didn't put it in because it looked like there were several ground wires hooked at multiple locations including the block and can so I thought they put one in but it's in the harness so now I'm thinking maybe it wasn't the one that was installed...
Yeah it's pumping fuel passed the filter like crazy. But now I'm lost, just pulled out 4 of the glow plugs and tested them old school with wires to the battery and all got glowing hot, BUT, tested the ohms and all are 1.6 to 1.8 instead of 1.1 or less?? These glow plugs only have about 3 hours...
I broke my meter this weekend gotta get a new one. The light is coming on and going off about 8 to 10 seconds in but I know that's not always accurate that they're working. It's just that it's doing everything the same as before and I am now just badly wondering if the IP was actually bad before...
No I haven't. I pulled it off and cranked it to see if fuel was coming out of it in case the solenoid might have been bad but no on the clear line. I remember you ended up having cracked line or something on yours?
The other ends are under the intake. I could get a few off possibly but not all without taking it all apart. But this is the second time it's done this. It has always ran just fine once it's running.
Tried getting it to fire with WD40 and no luck either which throws me off too. Stuck a hair dryer in the intake to try to warm it up thinking maybe even that the glow plugs could be bad even though I changed them the same time as IP. Pulled off 7 of the injector lines this time and cranked for a...
