For 30 bucks, id have tried it out. I seriously doubt it was water based. A simple q tip test would have told you if it was fuel worthy.

It could also be white mineral oil. Alot of food grade oil is mineral oil. Are there any specific markings or numbers on the drum?

so as long as both oils are new, im good.

Every now and again i get access to new veggitable oil and new motor oil. Is there any issues mixing the 2 and thinning with diesel? ive heard of problems with used oil but wasnt sure if the same applied to new oil. Thanks.

Not so much worried about people stealing fuel, as i am people dumping crap in the tank. (like i just got done dealing with)

Im still going to order a new injection pump assembly and a new in tank pump. Just for peace of mind. got alot done this weekend changed out the dust boots,and got her running. :beer:
