Well, my alternator decided to get smoking hot :rolleyes: so I’ve decided to go with Those Military Guys 160 amp conversion kit. And while I’m waiting for that to arrive I figured I should check the glow plugs as it is now non starting. Resistance is high and the plugs are all stuck as well...

That looks like a definite add to the upgrade list!

Alternator is rebuilt and putting out 28v, I like seeing that Volt meter running in the green! Took it out for a quick spin, and at -2F the heater is definitely struggling! 🥶

A little more help please. After installing the new regulator, it ran well for a minute (29v adjusted to 28v, then dropped out) I found the brushes to be shot. Ordered new brushes and installed them. Now it’s running a solid 24.92v but again no effect from the pot. Could the regulator have shorted?

From what I’ve read, the 12 & 24 bolt wheels are good with the Radials. It’s the 8 bolts that are supposed to run lower pressure.
