    M1008 radiator replacement

That looks like a good choice!

    Duralast B850 radiator

I was really on the fence about it and I don't disagree. I saved my correspondence with their customer service and stuck the thing in yesterday. If it leaks in the future it's got a lifetime warranty but so far so good. Everything's dry. Aside from the irritation on the shipping situation, it...

    Duralast B850 radiator

Okay I give. Googled it but didn't find anything. What the heck are these for? I'm assuming that these are adapters in case your oil cooler lines are flared instead of O ring type?

    Duralast B850 radiator

Here's what I got. It's actually a 2 row but each row is twice as wide as a standard row. I'm assuming it was already a return since box was opened and retaped. First couple pics shows light damage at bottom of core and slightly bowed core itself. Perhaps I was too irritated with customer...

    Duralast B850 radiator

Wow that's a great price. The duralast radiator was $649 but I saved $130 for using PayPal credit. Still seems expensive. AZ also issued $60 credit for the shipping mix-up.

    Duralast B850 radiator

Is anyone bought this radiator for their trucks lately? I did a search and read over some comments about these but all the threads are at least 6 years old. I ordered one and it arrived this afternoon and it is an all aluminum TIG welded unit from China although the picture on the AutoZone site...

    M1008 radiator replacement

Any information on that aluminum radiator? My 1008 needs one as of yesterday. Are these 3 or 4 core?

    Steel wheel options

Yep Ford had them also but on the rear only. Think they're 10s. These are Kelsey Hayes for GM. 8.25 or 9.75, 6 or 8 lug. '68-72 were Custom Campers and squares were Camper Specials. More I researched the more confused I got on the Chevy style.

    Steel wheel options

From what I can see these wheels came off a second gen custom camper option. The wheels weren't actually the option but the larger tires were listed. I've seen these wheels in the 8.25" width which is what I have and also 9.75" width. Backspacing is 5.25" to tuck them in as far as possible.

    Steel wheel options

I really appreciate your suggestions. After researching and comparing prices on replacement wheels and tires, I find the lowest cost is sticking with 16.5s. I am pushing 70 so I really don't have to worry about replacement tires again after this. I found a set of 8.25" wide camper special wheels...

    Steel wheel options

Thank you. That is some good information. I don't want smaller tires as this truck has a 6-in lift with relocated axles and all of the ORD goodies. It also has a 6.5 turbo setup set at 10 PSI so power loss isn't an issue. The days of me sinking a lot of money into this are unfortunately over as...

    Steel wheel options

Thank you Skinny. I've put less than 10,000 mi on this truck in the last 15 years and a big reason for that is the bad wheel hop at certain speeds with the military take off H1s. I need the height to make the truck drivable with the 4.56 but I'm just after some steel wheels that will balance...

    Steel wheel options

Anyone switch to 16" steel wheels? M1008 needs new tires and currently has H1 12 bolts. Never been able to balance them so looking to switch to a more common 16" factory style wheel. Truck has a 5+" lift. Any good options? Not a fan of aftermarket bling.

    Lighter rear springs

Yeah K10s are 52" where K20/30 are 56". Don't want to get into the half ton stuff.
