    Push button light switch testing.

VOM set to ohms (O of VOM) works fine for testing. 12 volts also works for testing switch contacts on a 24 volt-rated switch.

Newish member finally posting! AG m35a2 m/f

Are you saying the flywheel spins but the crankshaft (front pulley) does not?

Splines pushing through dust cap on slip yoke - how bad is this?

Check your front-rear axle dog bones.

I like how you say your “first” HMMWV. Once apon a time I said I only wanted one vehicle, ha! Lots of MV’s around Elephant Butte lake, mostly bigger ones though. Welcome to the addiction.

To Clear Coat Wheels, or Not?

There is such a thing as flat clear-coat. Keeps the base coat from fading but does not look shiny.

    m931 break adjustment

There is another adjustment at the parking brake, on the rear of the transfer case. There is a long section of threaded rod on the end of the actuator cable with an adjustment nut.

24v to 12v 7 blade for towing trailers

Your 24 volt input to the converter should be from the truck terminal A. The trailer terminal E should be hooked up to the 12 volt output from the converter, same wire feeding your relay contacts.

24v to 12v 7 blade for towing trailers

Your plan does not conform to the drawing post #4 by M813rc above. I would trust what Rory says as he has vast experience and knowledge on MVs. I do know you will need 3 converters, not two, to go the route you describe. Nice rig. Hope to see you around. Here is my setup, although I have other...

24v to 12v 7 blade for towing trailers

I made an MV to 7 pin adapter and converted my boat trailer to omnivolt led. But I use my trucks to pull all manner of stuff so I also have a HF magnetic tow light set with the bulbs changed to omnivolts. I use that setup even for towing other MVs. I have recovered vehicles from Deming and...

Yes, I do use truck air for the tires.

Looking at potentially buying either an M923A2 or 25A2

Problems with the CTIS may be simple and fixable lbut will ruin tires in the process of informing you there is a problem. I would not trust a tire that sat flat for even just a couple of days. This is especially true of the Michelins. While an axle seal leaking air is a simple issue...

Looking at potentially buying either an M923A2 or 25A2

First off, Semper Fi and belated Happy Birthday. Having a winch is a huge plus if you wind up needing it. I have winches on my two pickup trucks and have never used them to pull myself out. I have used one to pull several people out of their own dum-az-dry. The othe winch has never even been...

    M52A2 Questions

Most of the time, it is to “pickle” them as you call it. Most do not have heat but some do. Soft tops were readily available several years back when I had a soft top on my deuce but I have not needed one since I installed a hard top. Those parts are the same between those 5-tons and the deuces...

    20' connex moving on M35A2

74 % of the load is behind the rear trunion but the center of the leverage effect of the overhang is 7 feet beyond that. Whether that makes the front end too light is subjective and would be impacted by even the slightest of uphill grade. I suggest you load it up to test how light it feels.
