What size freeze plugs are used in the LDT465 engine block? I bought 2 inch, but they are slightly too small. I tried Melling MPC-146B. update, I measured the OD of the old plug and its 2.126 inches

The valve cover gaskets are dry, it’s definitely seeping between the head and block, but no apparent loss of compression.

How do you guys replace the rubber radiator side shields that are riveted in place? Drill out the rivets and then use small bolts? Or do you rivet the new ones in place?

The attached document doesn’t really have compatibility listed, but it will show part numbers for the different pumps and hydraulic heads.

Greetings, I checked my parts manual and it doesn’t show compatibility, but want to ask the group here. Is the LDS-465-2 injection pump 11641907 or LDS-465-1A 10951115 compatible with the LDT-465? If compatible I assume I would turn down the fuel and verify EGTs? thanks!

Well…. The radiator shop called and said he can’t fix either core, so I guess I’ll need to try one of those new cores out. I know the cores are pretty basic, but does anyone have a military radiator expert that may be able to work some magic on 2 heater cores?

Being in Florida, I’ve only used the heat once. I verified my NOS core is leaking so 2 cores to the rad shop tomorrow, then I’ll have a spare. Has anyone used the new heater cores I’ve seen online? They look slightly upgraded. Heater Core Upgraded?

Today's update: I removed heater core from the truck and applied permatex sealant between the petcock and the core. I rinsed the outside of the core off and refilled with coolant and water. I'm going to let it sit overnight in an upright position and see if I get any leaks. I'm going to...

I didnt see a leak at the bleeder, but tomorrow I will remove the top cover on the heater core housing and idle the truck so I can see exactly where it may be seeping from.

Primary Fuel Filter with Correct Gasket If you buy the filter at Napa it will not come with the correct gasket. You need the WIX 5131 gasket.
