Made some good progress again today on the Toyota Land Cruiser. I got the wheel fenders/flairs sanded and fitted. I just need to round the edges and glue into place.

Got some new heavy duty clamps for the shop. Fabricated a rack for them and their accessories.

Finished installing and painting the counterweights. Last picture is with shorter bolts installed.

Found this Youtube video of a guy building a 1/6 scale metal RC tank from scratch. It's a long video but amazing skills.

I added 300 pounds of lead plus the weight of the platform.

I will use either all-thread or bolts. 2 on each stack attached to the steel platform.

Finished pouring the lead plates for the excavator. Everything went smoothly. This time I removed the sheetmetal skirt from the mold to remove the plates. Made it a lot easier to get the plates separated from the mold.

Just finished resealing the mold. Looks like clear weather in the morning. I hope to have the last plate done tomorrow.

Still strapped to the trailer. Have not tried to move the excavator yet.

2nd pour of counterweights today went well. Was able to salvage the mold with minimum damage. (need to reapply silicone sealer)

I purchased 3 more sets of PDF plans last night. An old TOYOTA LAND CRUISER, ANTIQUE FIRETRUCK, and ANTIQUE CHEVY PICKUP. Lots of fun ahead.

With all the stuff that is happening here I forgot to mention I purchase a set of plans for building a school bus. The plans are not the usual PDF file. They are paper plans. Going to be a pain in the ass. I will need to make copies of the parts manually by scanning them. There was another...
