Hey Guy.
Here are all the M135 manuals I own. Not sure if they are all the M135 manuals out there though.
TM9-8024 ( I have 7 copies)
TM9-8023-6 Telephone Truck V-17A
TM9-8607 Steering Gear "Saginaw" 1954
TM9-1825-B Electrical Equipment 'Auto-Lite' 1952
TM9-1825-C...
I talked about this with the "Gardico" engineers. That is why they used the material they did. It stands up to gasoline, diesel, oil, water, and heat. Also, if your careful during disassembly you can reuse the gaskets. I spent about 6 months going back and forth to Gardico bringing in parts I...
I've thought about this issue for years now. I personally own two Chevy 1 ton duallys and a two M35 Deuces. Also a totally outfitted M105 trailer with dual wheels and two spare tires mounted on it with a command shack on it with all the tools you would ever need for any breakdown. Plus, a...
I would love to see your set-up, how you did it.
I wonder if a "crank mounted" type of ignition could be easily adapted to this engine ?
At this point there is not much any of us can really do since parts are not available. We either "reuse" our old parts or find a way to "adapt" something else.
Those are for the older M211 and early M34/M35 trucks. The M35A2 Deuce uses a heavy duty "I" beam design. The smaller round tubes can be bent much easier than the newer style.
Sadly "Timken" joined the "will it pass the minimum standard" group of manufactures decades ago.
Now I pay a premium for 1970-1980's NOS Timken bearings I find on eBay. Of course that will soon dry up, or already has dried up.
We the consumer had no choice on what parts we bought. I know that...
Totally with agree with you Bulldogger about switching to a newer HEI type of ignition. The problem lies with the small market share these military engines present. Yes, there are comparable Civilian engines, but they too represent an extremely small market. So basically, were stuck with the...
Normally I don't comment on Engine problems, especially on gasoline engines, but I had an issue recently that might help out others here.
I was diagnosing an engine miss that I just couldn't find the cause.
After pulling the Distributor and tearing it down I found the culprit. The distributor...
I'm pretty sure they are close to CAT diesels system. At least the last one I looked at was.
I never heard of any aftermarket stuff for either CAT or John Deere on their injection systems either.
Not enough units out there for that.
Oh, and yes, the rain is getting kind of out of hand around...
What Sea Cans are you talking about ? Some new project ? Or is this work related.
I'm still trying to get my library in order. Installed more shelves, and I need to bring up 5 metal cabinets for my "Motor Manual" Collection.
