Uggh, I may have answered my question. I am the victim of poor internet information at this point. I am now seeing that M1097 is not accurate and it should be handled as an M1123 instead? So wire 54C and the associated Diode is a Flyback circuit to control voltage spikes to the stupid smart...
Sorry, my brain is fried on researching this. And I am understanding that 54C has maybe been repurposed on some trucks. Be gentle, i am not a beginner in the slightest, but i just need some help to get this truck out up and running fully.
2012 m1097A2 rebuilt by Red river. Came to me...
What's going on Coach, good to see you again! My limited experience take is the CAT seems to be easy enough to get a replacement for so why mess around. I mean a fire breathing Cummins sounds fun but..... As for the ford, I personally would never, but that's just my prejudice against Ford so.
To my knowledge HD only does typical smooth body. King direct will do custom bodies with res and bypass etc.
On another note, I was looking at some of the FoX for FMTV and it looks like they run a pretty small body shock. Are my eyes catching that right?

I spent almost 2 years trying to get custom shocks from them for Unimog's. He will use a "Stocked" valving based broadly on vehicle weight. Where King themselves actually dyno existing shocks and put in effort to get it right first try. Thats why you have to take your vehicle into King and...
Just FYI, HD Shocks to my understanding does not custom valve shocks. They just use general specs and get them close enough. They are still good shocks, but they are not hyper specific to your truck like custom Kings are. Though it's reflected in the price so there is that. To get true...
Can't imagine how that bracket gets bent, but I suspected it was bent. But Inhave seen a few others similarly bent so I wasn't sure. I will pull it and straighten it out. Unfortunately the cab appears to be slightly bent back there too.
Im having issues with my cab latch. I'm guessing the bracket is bent? I've seen that there is a bend in the bracket possibly from the factory, but could mine be over bent? The latch works seamlessly by hand and the lock pin snaps in place with authority. But when the cab latch seats the...
