I'm thinking it's gonna be fairly easy for me to fab up. remove the top section that holds the springs and shocks then make my own platform for the top of the airbag and shock. on the bottom since the shocks already bolt through the a-arms that section will get removed and be where the lower...
Thinking of building air ride for the humvee next year, seems easy enough with everything being a-arms. Just wondering if anyone on here has done it and how they like the setup?
I think your miss informed Tobash isn't selling anything he has a walk through for people to build there own manual push button start box and it's up to you what quality you make it. He was very helpful when I rebuilt mine and never tired to sell me anything tho I offered to pay him to do it he...
it's great that your trying to rebuild the box but after having a manual push button one I would never go back also the control you have makes starting it at any temperature so much better it's not even close.
Ya i don't normally run anything in my Humvee or vw TDI motor's but my new truck with the bosch CP4 pump always gets Opti-lube XL in the summer which is just for adding lube more than there XDP product which is what I'm running now that its winter.
I only use opti-lube products anymore after seeing some different study/fuel analyst. It's not that most don't work but some actually don't add lubrication to the diesel they make it worse. If you look up the wear scar testing for diesel fuel additives you can see how much lube your additive...
If I had a local shop that did that I would have them sip a set in a heartbeat and then i would stud them. If nothing else it would be cool to have a extra set on OEM rims and tires that would sipped and studded. Only downside I could think of is that pure winter tires are normally a softer...
I see most people run group 24 I personally run group 65 which probably wouldn't work unless u had custom hold downs or don't run them (mine never came with them). But the biggest reason I run 65 series is because that's what I have in every vehicle I own cars/trucks/ and a humvee.
I don't know if there are any tire shops that do sipping anymore but they did sell machines do it quickly back in the day which would be much faster than doing it yourself with a tire groover or oscillating tool but it can be done.
Weights a good point to, having enough weight in the rear to...
I have a car I run studded winter tires on and have never found any all season tire to come close to winter performance but your probably not gonna find those in a 37in tire on a 16.5 inch rim.
You could always buy a surplus set and tire regroover so you could cut and stud them yourself.
I have two vw tdi's with the 1.9 alh turbo diesel 4 cylinder stock specs are 90hp and 155tq(tho easy to turn up). They are a good little cars both have over 400k on them I lost a timing belt about a month or two back on one of them and they are an interference engine so it bent the valves. I...
I'll be curious what you find out as I have never fixed my code 73 issue with my four speed and everything I checked out always seemed to come back fine.
depending on how bad it is I would sand blast the whole thing and coat it with POR-15 than painting over that with whatever looks closest to the stock paint like was mentioned above.
True but you left out the part that the Hawker batteries alone aren't enough in Artic environments and the military has a addon artic diesel powder heater to warm the engine. It is good to know that the Hawker last a long time but 4 batteries would still provide more CCA.
The instruction for...
