The 2026 Camp Plymouth Military Vehicle Show & Swap Meet is the largest annual show for ex-military vehicles (MVs) west of the Mississippi since the late 1970s. It is hosted by the Military Vehicle Collectors of California, the nation's largest regional MV club. Since 2019 the show has been at the Amador County Fairgrounds, 18343 Empire St., Plymouth, California, and adjacent 49er Village RV Resort, 18265 Hwy 49. Dates are April 15 through 18, 2026. Sunday is a pull-out day, not a show day. Our campsite and cabin rates are good all week.
The flyer below shows the main points, plus the kickass art that will be on the commemorative shirts, hoodies, and metal signs for sale. All MVs are welcome, any condition. RV sites, cabins are at the 49er but no tenting there. Tent sites and truck camping are at the fairgrounds. Free admission!. Free parking and trailer storage at the fairgrounds just inside the Empire St. gate. No vendor fee but anyone with a rented site may sell parts and military collectibles. Hotels, other lodging, and restaurants are nearby. A large grocery store is an easy walk.
There will be two themed MV showcases on Saturday morning at the Fairgrounds arena: HMMWVs plus ARMOR. A MV excursion Thursday morning will go up Hwy 49 to Jimmy Strauss Jeeps, well known jeep restorer and service shop. See the women's activities Thursday and Friday. MVCC member meeting Friday, all attendees welcome. Raffle and dinner in the barn near the tent campground Saturday at 5 pm.
The Camp Plymouth golf cart rental program, plus motor home/travel trailer discounts from Advantage Caravans including delivery, set up, pick up, details will be up soon on www.MVCCNews.net. To reserve Plymouth sites, use the form in the newsletter and on the website. This is for both campgrounds - you can't get our discounts in our block of sites and cabins without using this process.
Visit our show plus historic gold country sites and towns and the dozens of wineries just outside Plymouth. Consider visiting Northern California attractions before or after Camp Plymouth.
At this event, details will be shared about the new location for the September swap meet show, replacing the Fall Plymouth event. This is not about the April show. It will be at the RV park Lighthouse Resort & Marina, between Rio Vista and Tower Park/Jellystone Park where we were for many years. Details will be up on www.MVCCNews.net soon and of course in the MVCC newsletter. At this time, the campsite reservation form is being delayed to late Spring, so you can't choose or book a site yet. Jo-Ann Lesser is returning to be the coordinator for September sites only. Not for the April event.
