Help with 923 case front not locking

Could someone help me my 923 5 ton
after helping out with Helene recovery front differential stopped locking can hear air sounds like inside. Transfer a case.

If you hear air escaping while the front axle is engaged, determine if the air sound is external to the transfer, if so look for hose leaks, if the sound is coming from the transfer vent, the shift cylinder will need overhaul.
