As an old member with a new project, I am surprised to find that obtaining dimensions or reverse engineered information for parts is hard to come by. I am in the process of restoring an 1151 Rev to its original Up Armored glory and have been collecting quite a few items. Other than the random periodically posted original items, it seems that several vendors are selling reverse engineered items for very high prices. As an example, most of this stuff is flat generic mild steel, and for AR500 they are asking 5-8k just for side armor. They're not even the correct 86100. Are people really paying this?
Putting together a CAD file, purchasing the right material and water jet cutting is a very small fraction of the retailer prices. I have many OE Armor items from standard threat side panels, OGPK panels, armored doors, Ibis Tek bumpers etc etc. I don't have everything and that's the reason for this post. I would be happy to share CAD files and post them if others post as well.
There is absolutely no need to have to purchase overpriced armor because someone took 20 minutes to dimension an original part. I have had a lot of help thru the years on various projects on this site by other members andI I would be happy to help anyone that can return the favor. Any reverse engineered print I have can be uploaded for all to see and use. Is there an interest in this type of information? heck.....we could make anything!!

Is it possible for you to post yours, the ones you have? Unfortunately, I can't find anything similar anywhere, and it's basically impossible to get them in my country, so I have to make them myself.

I have a lot of stuff I can post specs on, but im reallly hoping just a couple other people would chime in and be willing to add to this post to get this started before I take all the time to spec stuff. It might just be me thinking it would be helpful for everyone, but maybe the need is less great.

Unfortunately, I can't help with that because I don't have access to the parts. But I think that if you have something, you should post it first, and maybe then the topic will get going.
Only if someone has regular drawings, dimensioned, etc., can I redraw them into a CAD file.

I was surprised to see how few 3d files there are for hmmwv's in general myself. I don't have any armored parts or anything particularly special I can take measurements from but I'd be happy to help out however possible. I also can do FDM printing, some metal fabrication and have good relationships with several companies that have large waterjets and other manufacturing capabilities that we work with on a regular basis.

Cool, but we need someone to take the 1st step and take measurements :)

I'm planning on drawing some parts up for my M998, jack rails, rearview camera mount, grab handles, etc. I'll post them up when I get them made and tested. I don't have any plans to do up armor but will def help make our trucks more everyday useable! (This post is mainly a place holder to remind myself! lol)

I have a file I bought for doors and willing to share.

I saw that you might be willing to share some. It would be great to post them on a site, or here for others. I am trying to get cad files for armor, the Special forces W style bumper, and or the canopy top that fits the whole unit.

Curious what files you might have. Didn't see anyone really take you up on your comment.

Okay, everyone is writing, but no one is sharing, so I'll be the first:
Custom harris 7850 plate:

The dimension in the red circle should be 1 mm smaller.
Dimensions in mm.

Niice!!!! Glad someone got it started. I'll have one of my engineers reverse/engineer a side armor panel. I'll have it up ASAP. More to follow, but one for one is the goal. Lets do this!!!!!
@alwayskaos Any updates about your parts?

I can share my Google Disk space. And if you want, you can upload CAD files there. They will be available to interested parties.

Interested in those door CAD files. Been trying to make them myself but don’t trust that my end product will come out correct. Let me know and thanks in advance!

Anybody have the original TM with the GPK not the O-GPK? I have the files going for GPK's, Flat Door Brackets, Smoke Launchers, MK93's and more.

Is your files are for straight armored doors?
