I recently as of today taken ownership of either an m35a2 or a3, not sure which one. The tag on the engine says 1988. According to my work who i bought it off of they say its a 67. Anyways, I removed the clutch pin under the truck to adjust the clutch and now the pin wont stay in. What normally holds these pins in?

A3 has an auto transmission, hopefully its an 1988 with the dual circuit brakes. Where going to need pictures!

Out of curiosity what would you guys pay for this. It runs and drives. Needs a rad or the rad to be rebuilt. We had one rad shop in town, im going to see the cost to repair it, if its over $250 than I'll do the c20 swap that I recently watched.

The M35A3 has an automatic transmission. They weren't built until 1993 or 1995. If it has a clutch, you have an A2.

Where this gets a little more confusing is where you might have a M109A3 van, which is still a M45A2 truck chassis with a manual transmission. The M109A4 is a M44A3 truck chassis with the van box on it and the automatic transmission o_O

The M44A3 trucks also have a Cat 3116, CTIS, reverse lights, electric wipers, dual-circuit brakes, air-assist steering - lots of goodies from the factory!

The 1988 tag on the eng is more than likely just a new engine to the truck. I got an 1988 engine in a older truck.

It is only a few pictures, but my impression is of a once-decent truck that was ridden hard and put away wet. The headache rack etc. tells me that bling was more important than maintenance and it shows in the pics.
Worth? Scrap metal price range. Maybe $1500 if it runs.
Looks like lots of stuff to do before it is road worthy.

Road worthy. I'm not sure it can be road worthy in Canada. From what I've been reading up on most military vehicles cant be registered by the public to be driven on the road. Unless someone knows otherwise.
