When a late Version CIM with USB is installed as replacement, the Switch S2 Panel Lights, which connects to J27 PINS 44 and 42, will change the display brightness as follows:
1. When S2 is first activated, Display will be in Night Operation Mode and display is dimmed
2. If you want to switch to Day Time Brightness, turn S2 Switch off briefly and immediately back on
This requires some practices to get the timing just right
The regular brightness control can still be adjusted as follows:
Increase Brightness: J27 toggle PIN45 to PIN 42 or 49 Ground
Decrease Brightness: J27 toggle PIN43 to PIN 42 or 49 Ground
We have encountered 8 CIM's with USB Port which allow for a switching of Brightness through S2
We want to mention only one Device: Night Vision Goggles
