Hi Soldiers. Thanks for allowing me to join. I currently own an M900 cargo bed that I have placed on my 1984 Ford C8000 firetruck (haul truck). Both the bed and the truck are built like tanks. The bed was a fluke actually, I just happened upon it online and it fit my 34 inch wide frame. I will need to remove a pump unit, slide the cargo forward and bolt it on. I love these military beds with CARC paint and no rust! I am planning to use the seats and find a set of used bows and canvas for hauling plywood I dont want to get wet.

My pervious 'haul truck' has been a 1977 M886 Ambulance which I drove for 10 years before it disintegrated. LOL.

I will be needing a few random parts to make my current cargo bed safe to use. I'll post pictures in the proper section of these forums. Thanks RedGreentempImagevP4qkV.jpg

Well... Welcome to the Outfit!

Looks to me like you have a heck of a vehicle for hauling whatever you want to haul. I don't really have any recommendations for Training Manuals (TM's) since a fire truck doesn't really fit into that need. Still, its a pretty cool looking rig!

Thank You! We have a small farm and need to haul a water tank in the summer months. I had been looking at other trucks (IH, Isuzu, yes BMY as well) but this one came by and was extremely inexpensive and pampered by a fire company. 37,000 original miles! The bed was also a fluke, and I suppose the whole thing cost me about half the amount we budgeted for a water hauler this year. I am a happy camper!

Good Deal!
Getting it in good shape sure makes the effort so much better.
So, is the water for cattle - or for fire fighting?
