Yes. I’m fortunate to have access to material, machinery & skilled help. I’m not sure if I’ll go with 1/4” or 1/8” though. The subframe & rear wall was delivered last week. I’ll unbox it tomorrow & provide my first impressions.so youre making your own roof for it?
That’s the first question I asked before purchasing this kit which is why they provided these brackets.Almost finished mine, just need a new A pillar. My current a pillar doesn’t have the mounts on it for a top. I bought one I just need to pick it up. Not sure how you’re going to mount a custom fabbed roof since the subframe has holes in it for their roof to mount to… I guess you could weld them up? For a moment I did think that the Plan B roof could be a cheaper option until I assembled my subframe. The way this thing goes together is so precise it only made sense to spend the money for the right roof.
I don't disagree with your logic, but for me, bolting them on is sufficient.I could have gotten those, but in my opinion they should be welded on. So I got an A pillar with them welded on.
Thanks, I’ve covered the entire inside of the Humvee with sound deadening insulation & carpet. I also have a console over the dog house that’s also lined so it’s night & day compared to stock. That's great work, well done!
How is the interior noise level?
