The Airmog got to be in the sunshine for the first time in a couple decades to its new storage spot in a Conex box, the factory dimensions were of little use as the Gama Goat tires and wheels are much taller than the factory tires.
This truck has some unique features other than the tires it has a hard cab. the wheel hub steps are wider than the military ones those and the fancy steps on the rear of the fenders came off of an expedition 404, it also has a 5 cyl. turbo diesel, Air assisted power bakes, AirOmatic power steering and air operated WW motors, and of course that awesome factory winch which came off of a flood victim I bough out of Mississippi.
I have several big projects ahead of this but do hope to get to it before I die.
I knew if I put it in the back of a Conex it would not see daylight again until I died and the big auction took place so I put it in the "front" of the box and will install a rollup door in the other end so I can use the rest of the space but can drag out the Unimog any time I want to.
She was a tight squeeze, the hatch guards were strumming the top of the door opening, sounded like a base fiddle
