Just finished resealing the mold. Looks like clear weather in the morning. I hope to have the last plate done tomorrow.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

What keeps your plates secured on machine?Finished pouring the lead plates for the excavator. Everything went smoothly. This time I removed the sheetmetal skirt from the mold to remove the plates. Made it a lot easier to get the plates separated from the mold.
I will use either all-thread or bolts. 2 on each stack attached to the steel platform. What keeps your plates secured on machine?
Roger thatI will use either all-thread or bolts. 2 on each stack attached to the steel platform.
Might think of a piece of flat stock across plates for all-thread or bolts to anchor to.....just a suggestion. Could have flat stock for each stack?I will use either all-thread or bolts. 2 on each stack attached to the steel platform.

I added 300 pounds of lead plus the weight of the platform..
So, how much weight have you added?
SEVERELY skilled. I see a bunch of CAT( Yellow Worm) stickers and his "hand" drawings are impressive to say the least!! Engineer? Tool and Die maker? Machinist? Either way, well thought out and performed! I will watch more later. I LOVED the plastic clog type shoes while welding! HAHAHAFound this Youtube video of a guy building a 1/6 scale metal RC tank from scratch. It's a long video but amazing skills.
.Finished installing and painting the counterweights. Last picture is with shorter bolts installed.
Yes Sir, proof is in the Puddin! they used to say. Hope it exceeds your expectations.
Looking Good!
Now it's time to go out and dig with it to see how it performs.![]()
What glue do you use? Water soluble?
That I BELIEVE!
It dries transparent and it's very strong.
