Too cold / too much snow for major fabrication updates but truck passed inspections and is now road legal.

Rear curtain done / roof redesigned for front and rear panel removal during good weather.

I love the look! Almost a M1165!

Put some tie downs on the top for long trips and offroad. You will thank me later.

I’m using an Ama$on rear sliding window for my rear windshield. Gonna cut it into place tomorrow. I mention that because you might want to consider the same… On hot days it really improves airflow. Also helps with parking even if you have a rear camera.

Will do.

Did the same! Got ride of the plexiglass rear windows and replaced them with 2 36”x15” Ama$on sliding windows as well! Had to modified the rear curtain for them to fit, but they did fit well. Keeping them in the box until after paint.

Love your work.

This is what I did.

I had size constraints based upon old style M1165 inner flange for stock window.

Stock window kit probably $700. Ama$on kit as installed, $100.

Looks great! It’s crazy how you can buy the whole truck somehow cheap at auctions, but dare to buy a genuine part for it and you’d think it wasn’t the lowest bidder that won the government contract.

Almost thinking about buying another truck for parts only lol!

There are multiple people that have bought trucks just for parts.
Then they realized their parts truck only needed a few things to get it up and running, and in better condition than their original truck, so they end up buying yet another parts truck to fis the first parts truck.
It's a slippery slope.

It's not just HMMWVs that a whole second truck is cheaper than the parts either. I know guys with LMTVs and other larger rigs purchased for parts.
