I remember reading about adding lube. I will try that. I think the last guy who owned it didn't drive it much. I've already driven it around 600 miles in the 9 months I've owned it.
Did a little troubleshooting.I do not have 24 volts at the connector.
Started tracing the wires back and came across this. Fuse link? I don't have 24 volts coming into it. I keep tracing it back.
Ok... well that's not happening. I guess I need to go through the air pack. Interesting thing is it looks brand new. It was definitely changed out in recent years.
By the way, I've only owned this truck about nine months.
Thanks for the information. I believe mine is similar to yours. It does break , but I have to put a significant amount of pressure on the pedal. I don't think the air assist is really doing anything at all. I think I may end up pulling the air pack and going through it.
How much pressure is needed to operate the brakes.? Would you be able to lock up the brakes if you would use hand pressure? I'm thinking my brakes are not working as they should.
Where should I start looking? Installed known good bulbs, nothing. New 3 level lights controller. Everything else electrical works. Headlights, marker lights, and horn. Any ideas?
Ok. Got home and did as was suggested. The first pump I disconnected, the one closest to the operators panel, was unplugged and it fired right up. I let it run about a half hour then shut it down 3 times and it restarted every time no problems.
