The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

Thank you for the wealth of knowledge you bring to this forum! I will likely use a civy ECU as I have seen the original units at the surplus yards and they are stupid heavy and probably not very efficient. I have one shelter that I can smell the mold in even though I cleaned the entire interior...

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

The gen control is on the inside, the power vault looks to me mostly single phase, the breakers for Gen, external 240V and inverter power are all two pole, the breaker for 208 external power is a 4 pole.

There was one other data plate that I did not post here.

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

It may take a few days to get it off the trailer so I can look inside.

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

I found a thread about the same setup in another section, I also managed to get the gen set pulled out far enough to see the data plate, it is a MEP-903C Guyfang had posted the TM there so I have that, Thanks Guyfang!! All the rollers are disintegrating on the tracks that allow the gen set to...

MEP-903 Generator In S-805 Electronic Repair Shelter - Road To Startup

I am glade I found your thread, I just picked up a S805/G shelter and it came with a complete intact MEP-903C gen setup, and the Harris RF-382-A tuner. I also plan on using this as a mobile shack/camper. The inverter is gone though...

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

It am thinking of using with a few mods for adventure and some field day work. I am a tuner junkie, I have stacks of them, I do have the Harris antenna for this setup although that system in itself is limited but is quicker to deploy than getting out the slingshot or support poles to string an...

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

It looks to be single phase, all the switches/breakers for external/APU/Inverter power are double not triple, although it has a single phase "eye" under a cap, not sure what that is for unless you would try to switch from one power source to another instantaneously.

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

I and the net are wrong, this shelter is not the same as the Gichner GSS-1497A. I have seen many pictures of that shelter and it does more or less end at the back of the body. But it is clear when looking at the "shadow" left by the fender that this hangs 17 or more inches past the body, the...

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

It looks like it also goes as a Gichner GSS-1497A If anyone has information about the rear mounts let me know, the front looks to be the same as a S788

The sickness is real, but sometimes it pays off!

I needed another shelter like another hole in my head, I have 4, 3 S788s and a maint. shelter, so this maint. shelter pops up and is in better shape than the one I bought a couple months ago,it did not get a bid the first time so they re-listed it with a much lower starting bid, so I put a low...
