    Make sure you do flushes every few years. And check the master cylinder level before road trips.

    Dude you are going down a rabbit hole here with the wrong platform for your build. Suggest you fix this one, flip it, and use the $ for a 1078 A1 P2 with the C7 and high pinion axle. The airdrop cab alone just won’t work.

    For reasons I don’t understand, silicone brake fluid magically disappears from deuce master cylinders with no signs of leakage. Sure you can overhaul the system using now available crap repro parts. May not gain much reliability.

    Does your brake system have silicone fluid (BFS) in it from the military? If so just top off the master cylinder and rebleed. If someone put in nasty regular brake fluid, yup you are looking at an end to end overhaul and line flush. Many hours of work.

    Ok, C124-12458 is your VIN, which will also be stamped in the frame. 05E-54770 is the Army registration number to be stenciled on the hood. The last two digits, 70, indicate the truck was manufactured in 1970.

    Before you jump to a hydrostatic lock conclusion, I would have the batteries charged and tested. Slave starting is a last resort and how start boxes get smoked.

    This is a very common issue for LDT deuces coming out of hibernation. The fuel control lever gets stuck in the off position.

    To get it on a trailer, cage the spring brakes.

    The “valve” on top of the fuel filter is the pressure transducer for the STE/ICE. You can get rid of it. The residue fuel in the injection pump is the same nasty crap as in the tank, my guess is the pump passages are gummed up and blocked. Send to overhaul.
