I have had tubes in these tires for 2 years, they really took a set, when I take the tube out they go right back.

Problem is getting my nos tires expanded enough to seal on the rim. Even though they are new the sidewalls are collapsed down from being stacked for decades. Maybe after I run them for a while they will resume their former shape and I could go back tubeless

Can anyone recommend a source for tubes that would fit goat tires? And size? Not having much luck searching, thanks

I didn't know that either, I googled Sankey, still making wheels but owned by another company. They were the first company to produce a one piece steel wheel, prior to 1910, can't remember the exact date. Wasn't the t case produced by an English company as well?

Some wheel prep here, gonna try to get at least 2 mounted today

A couple of my wheels are stamped inside Sankey England, never noticed it before , also most of the wheels in my pile have no stamping at all. Were these early goat wheels? Later wheels made for the Army in Europe?

Tires are home, loooong trip to Austin and back to my house but made a small weekend vacation out of the deal, got 5 decent used tires, good to go on the back of the goat or for spare tire. Big thanks the G744 for letting me have them.

Headed to Texas next weekend to pick up 5 more good used tires, thanks to some members on SS, they were hauled from Phoenix area to Austin for me, one looks like a European tread design, wonder if this style is a recap done in Germany?

Glad to hear it, I mount my own just be careful. If you don't have a cage you can wrap a chain around it, I have changed many over the years, deuce, M37, 715, goat, the goat is the easiest by far.

Ground is too wet to do much here today, so I decided to try and free up my truss kit. I picked up an almost complete set a few years ago and they were rusted shut. I was able to free up everything except the brace, she snapped off not sure how I will fix that. Anyone seen a spare brace floating...

This quick disconnect on the brake line between tractor and carrier, does it serve as like a proportioning valve? Or does it just shut off the flow of brake juice when disconnected?

Forgot to mention, he has 18 what I guess you could call nos recaps, and 2 used tires. I'm interested in a couple, I'm gonna call him back next week to see what shipping would be. Unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to mount them , air them up to 22 psi and see what sidewalls look...
