    5 ton crew build

Assuming your working with an older truck with the narrower cab, IIRC the front of wider M939 series 5 ton truck cabs matches up fairly close to the rear of the older 2-1/2 and 5 ton truck cabs.

    M62 wrecker

Check out @WillWagner ‘s thread https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/the-next-project-an-asmh.216290/ you might find your answer there, as well as a lot of other cool motivation for the rest of your truck.

Any 14.00R20 tires available for dually rims?

You essentially need bridge truck wheels, spacers, longer torque rods, longer wheel studs as well as a bunch of other parts I’m sure I’m forgetting to make it work, but it will be over 102” wide…

    m931 break adjustment

Looks like your brakes are NOT caged, so I guessed wrong. You do not use the spring break override, that button should always stay out except in an emergency/combat situation where your spring breaks are locked and you cannot release them otherwise. If you are pushing that button in as normal...

    m931 break adjustment

This is what the brake chambers look like when they are caged. Installed cage bolt circled in red.

    m931 break adjustment

The caging bolts should be stowed on the side of the can (circled in red) or missing. If there are threads sticking out of the hole plugged with the red cap (red arrow) then your spring/park brakes are caged and cannot work. The rear 2 axles are the only ones that have “parking” brake chambers.

    m931 break adjustment

Make sure the cage bolts are not installed in the brake cans.

M939A2 starter system dead short. Any help where to start?

First WAG would be batteries are wired incorrectly. Is this a new to you unknown truck, or this condition started after…?

    Haspin 2025

The smoothest I’ve ever seen a line coming out on top of Devils Backbone this year. I went down, but was raining too hard to get a grip on the rocks trying to go up. I’m still playing catchup so I probably sit this weekend out, but as always I’m close enough if you all get in a bind!

    Haspin 2025

Amazing so far! Other than the mower cycle gang, this entire place is almost completely vacant. Mostly overcast, with nice temps, and just enough rain to keep the dust to near zero. Not sure, but next weekend may be getting into the early Trikefest crowd? Although, we may bring the Bronco back...

    Curious old M49 fuel truck

When I saw that last photo, all I could think was Oh no! We should have warned you not to let gimprobb drive… or play with! But glad you rolled it over for us to see the underside, truly amazing!!!

Starting new thread for same old problem.....

I haven’t went back to reread everything, but are we sure there is not some junk in the fuel tank, that is sucking up and blocking the end of the fuel pickup tube, or do these trucks have a sock on the end of the pickup?

Starting new thread for same old problem.....

Ive ran across a set of new points for an old tractor that had a very hard to see plastic like film on the contacts. Would not start until the film was peeled off.

    M200A1 Trailer. What to do?

You can usually find MRAP to Deuce adapter plates on ebay. There’s a set on there now that the seller claims are originals that @peashooter used to sell, good stuff! Avoid the Western Canadians junk like the Plague! Myself and others on here have bad experience with their plates. M1231 Husky...

New member intro / front brakes may not be working...

Also, welcome aboard! Just one thing, we need pictures of this truck, especially shots of her at work!

New member intro / front brakes may not be working...

There was an MWO done that neutered the front brakes on these trucks in an “attempt” to make them “safer” to drive. I believe it was part of the ABS MWO if I remember correctly. I have plans at looking into changing mine back closer to a normal bias one of these days…

    Curious old M49 fuel truck

Wrong mirrors. Wrong gauges. Might as well start over, and send that one to me to play with? But seriously Pawel, your model looks amazing! I wouldn’t be concerned about leaving the motor-pool mods in place, especially if you have pictures to support them.
