So, my friend has a GPW and he says it looses power after reaching operating temperature. My first thought was vapor lock or possibly a vacuum leak from a warped something from the heat. Anyone experience this?
So I got motivated and sanded all the bird shit birds in the paint on my M38A1. Then I touched up the finders and body with some Gillespie OD-2430 rattle can paint from Army Jeep Parts. The hood was a little too big to spot paint so I busted out the airless, got some acetone to reduce the can of...
remove the over size amber front marker lights and installed 12 volt blackout markers and a 12 volt blackout driving light. Waiting on some Packard connectors to show up and I’ll wire them all up to the parking light post on the push pull light switch, someone else installed.
Thanks for sharing that they batch with acetone. I'm in Calif. and I have a gallon of alkyd enamel that I would like to spray, but you can't get xylene anywhere around here. It looks like acetone will work. The can clearly states not to use turpentine, Naptha or mineral sprits.

Has anyone had an issue with the parking brake lever release button not returning to ready position? If so, did you rebuild the lever, or is it a remove and replace fix?
Ok, I did the search thing and came up empty. I just got an M38A1 that was converted to a 12 volt electrical system. The headlights and front marker lights will not come on, even though they worked when I bought it. Lights are controlled by a simple two position push/pull switch and im thinking...
Under the CUCV TM section there is a technical manual for the mini pumper. I’ve never seen an Army mini pumper.
I'm sure Yorba Linda is quite crowded compared to when you were here. Still a nice part of California.
We had one at El Toro in our crash crew section. It was just an M1028 with a Twi Agent Unit slipped in the back, see: https://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/Industrial-and-Construction-Supplies-Fire-Combat-Fire-Suppression-System-California/13271084?h=5000%2Ct%7C10106&rr=0.5&hitprm=&pnLink=yes
