Photo dump from the Master! He's been making the parts look new yet. Replaced the rear main rope seal. Got the front blackout lights in and working. I'll hunt for some other pics as well. Have to figure out his new phone!

You have smart bugs down your way. Mine find the tiny spot of each door corner and wiggle in that way. I used some basic caulk to cover them up. They haven't figured out the open grills yet.

This looks amazing! Your interior work is spot on. I am assuming you have been doing that stuff for a long time. That back seat looks better than gm made it. I have a few NOS covers for the back seat and a few for the front but not a full set. I am on the eternal hunt to find the ones I...
That sucks!! I don't know what brand that is but I will look it up. I'd bet an internal O ring ripped up in the valve in the back or the relief valve stuck. It is in the big nut that the pressure line bolts to. You can remove that without taking the pump off. Maybe something in there isn't...
Glad it all worked out for you. That 831 sounds like a perfect size for most of what you needed. Using that little of fuel is perfect. Makes me want to get one that size when I don't need the 803.
I use the diesel clean white bottle in all of mine. The oil company uses the same stuff for freezing in the winter. I would highly recommend you chat with people in your area about keeping diesel free of goo. What works for me will be radically different for you in Florida. I don't get the...
6 gallons isn't much. You'd be able to look inside the can and see if it's got black spots floating in it. Would need filtered if it's got growth. I'd run it if it doesn't. If worried about it just use a little in each tank full. Add some fuel cleaner and be done with it.

Since you lost brakes and power steering it's the pump. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's working. Could pull the return off the steering box and see how much fluid comes out. Need a long hose and a milk jug. Turn the wheel some and see if anything comes out.

You really have gone all in on getting this one going. That fire extinguisher powder can be very corrosive. I am glad it was the alternator area that got it and not the other side. I wonder if the return hose popped and caught on fire that way. If you can get the K1 switch to work it should...
There's a guy on here going through some load issues that he found were contact corrosion problems. He used a few cans of Deoxit in the contacts of as many switches he could and it is now working as designed. I am not sure if that is the fix but most say it's the starting point.
When I hooked up mine I had to figure out the thread on the intake line next to the filler neck. Mine did not have the factory extra line rolled up in the door. I took the cap off and took it to a hydro shop and they made me a really nice hose. I attached it to a solid 3/8 lined steel line I...
Just a thought with that low of hours I'd run the heck out of that thing and find all the weak points like fuel return lines and connections. I wouldn't worry about blow by since it isn't really broke in yet. Has it been reset or not if it has the tag on it still?
Glad to see you got it all hooked up and running. Tough to see the output isn't right. I hope it is just an easy dirty contact you can clean. I can't help much on this since the people responding are the best ones for it. I like to think of diagnostics as digging with a spoon vs a 12 yard...
See post above. He has the stuff. Can't tell you anything else. Davidpoz and Callmecolt on youtube both go through this genset and one does use the above setup to fix the surge. Works great.
