Will pulling the forward rear axles out still alow the rear set to drive? A fabricated hub cover would then be installed.
My deuce spends most of its life on paved and gravel roads.
Looking to minimize wear on the rear drive train.

Yes, power transfers directly through the pinion shafts on the rockwells. I think there's also aftermarket axle shafts for a non-steer that you could run lockout hubs on as well for a no tool solution.

I know there are front lock outs, dunno about rear axle lock outs.

It's certainly cheaper to do it that way. I'm lazy though, I might do this to my truck one day.
