Found a person in this area to help with the resto of a M936 so back in the game. he is a 10 vet of the AF TACP and a 10 year ARMY pilot vet of the Blackhawk aircraft. At present he fly's for a local hospital care flight. While stationed in Afghanistan as a TACP operator he was stationed in Helman province. The province was in the British controlled area. While there he found a couple of Brit Mercedes jeep type vehicles in the scrap area. He got a hold of them somehow and got one to run etc.
The plan is to get the M936 I recovered many years ago from Fort McCoy, Wis. (which has been sitting outside for years) back in running condition. The guy that owns the M936 also is the guy who I recovered 3 M1070s for. At 86 crawling under trucks in not fun anymore. Anyway will be interesting giving it a shot. Something to keep me out trouble I hope.
Will post the rehab here just for grins........Been checking on stuff that needs to be replaced etc....I see the price of parts is just plain crazy now. Good thing all the deuces I did was done years ago when parts etc. were reasonable.
