Black internal padding source?

I had a big roll of the 1/4 inch black padding used in the V-100 and finally used it all. Stick on adhesive was amazing. Match to original was spot on. Anyone know a source for more?

The company who made the original is out of business. Hasn’t been available for several years.

The last bits I had came from JimK, but I don't have any information on where he got it. I can presume from the defunct company Buck mentioned.

I miss Jim. It still makes me smile when I see stuff on my parts shelf wrapped in too much duct tape. He was a good friend and a heck of a craftsman.

Jim had a small roll of it that he got from somebody in the community. He used what he had for his restoration but ran short on a few pieces and tried to find a substitute. What he found was good but not identical. I’ve looked for quite some time and tried various offerings from McMaster Carr and none of them were correct. If you were going to do your entire vehicle, then a substitute would work. The tough part is if you’re just trying to replace one or two pieces with the rest of the vehicle still having OEM material. It’s just not going to match.

I miss Jim, too, every time I go out in the garage and see his vehicle there. It was a wonderful gift that he gave me, but I wish he was still here.
