My M813 has a block heater in the engine and a 200 Watt magnetic mounted heater on the gear box.
The attached photos show the temperature regimes throughout. Ambient temperature was 22F, the engine block heater registered at 133F and the mag-mount heater at 117F.

This is fascinating. I have a block heater in my NCH250. It works but it has a wiring issue. The neutral and ground are connected together. No big deal until I plug into a GFI outlet. It blows the GFI. I called the manufacturer and asked to talk to their engineering department. When I described the issue and asked if it was intentional to bond the neutral and ground conductors….. crickets. The “engineer” had no idea what I was asking. it’s not a big deal to me. I can simply lift the ground pin on an extension cord or use a non GFI outlet to keep my motor warm.
I am interested in the magnetic heater you are using on the transmission or transfer case. Can you list the part number and source for this?
