Driver's Side Insulation

The temperature today was a not-so-gentle reminder that I still needed to get the insulation installed on my M1123.

Looking for a little advice on installing the two pieces below. They're obviously both retainers; the -24P gives the part #s, but the -20P doesn't really get into details. In fact, the -20P looks like a different tunnel section than the insulation I'm working with. I may be behind a change order or more...

I didn't take these pieces out, so I have no point of reference to work from. I have a pile of screws, an incomplete set of retainers, and a poorly done picture. It's basically like I'm assembling furniture from IKEA.

I'll take pics if you've got any.

#4 - correct installation (P/N 5594002)?
What is this supposed to look like installed? It seems like it should screw into the dash near the driver's side floor vent, go over the pad, and then into the driver's floor. I don't have this in my parts bin, and I can't see any existing holes drilled for this - is it possible that this is not an M1123 part?

#29 - correct orientation (P/N 5591712)?
This molding has a lip on one side. Does the lip go forward or aft, and does it go up on down? I know, this is probably a stupid question, but while I'm here... Is there such a thing as a stupid question?

That should be all of it. I think everything else is sorted. At least with this task.

Since there hasn't been any response to my question(s), I'm going to use a bit of deductive reasoning to figure this out.

Since the bolt holes in the floor mat aren't reinforced, over time they would get hogged out (or worse) from constant movement. Therefore, I would use a retainer with a lip, pointed down and forward, to keep the floor mat from moving around and to direct any movement that does occur away from the fastener holes.

That's what I'm going with, so I can finish this up tonight. Change my mind.

I've never seen that #4 vertical support in over two dozen trucks.

The #29 strip ive seen installed both ways. No rhyme or reason. I reinstall them with the ridge upward so they lay flat and dont get distorted from tightening the bolts. But I would totally accept that the ridge was intended to face downward to lock in the mat. I just dont like the way it looks
