Putting a call out to anyone on here who does CAT ECM reflashes. I would like to take my C7 as high as is possible with a factory tune. I am currently at 330hp, and have heard conflicting numbers that I can reflash to 350, 360, or 375 with a cooled turbo. I don't know if any of those numbers are true, but i would rather the money for a reflash go to someone in the hobby and not a random CAT center.

Replied to your message. No choice but to find someone that can flash it actually since the CAT dealer won't rerate any military C7's and even if they would the 370/931 fuel map is Defense use only - it's not available to the public as it doesn't meet the EPA standards I assume.... Even though that "muffler" on our truck is a HUGE catalyst.

The kit costs over $20,000 and then you need the flash files. I had one for the European theater but sent it to a LAR in Kaiserslautern to support our 100KW Generators. Each application requires the specific set to be correct. The generic files also will work, but you need the CAT E-Tool.

Well.... No. There's a couple ways to skin this CAT but none of them involve $20,000 tools.

Mostly because $20k probably wouldn't be enough for CAT to break their corporate policy of not re-rating military serial number engines. They won't give you the files or the passwords to do so using legitimate software and their legitimate re-rating guidelines and procedures.

Which leaves illegitimate ways. And I'm here to tell you that FOR SURE you don't need to spend $20k. More like ~$1,500 or less.

Yep. $1500 Gets you a decent diag kit from https://southeastmilitaryequipment.com/vehiclediagnostics. Cannot do rerates but does most everything else.

Great stuff. Only worked with CAT stuff since everything was in some sort of contract. My flash files are only good for a gen set running at 1800 RPM. The engines in the trucks and MRAPS used a different flash said the CAT contractor on our FOB.
