Heater Blower motor doesn't engage when toggled

Ok so I've moved houses now and finally after this winter I have a warmish day to work on this again. I think my problem is at the start box, but I want a sanity check. I took my dash apart and replaced the really rough looking resistor. This did not fix the issue, but it definitely needed replaced. I checked voltage at the blower and got nothing, checked wire 400d and got nothing. 27d also reads 0. To rectify this do I need a whole new start box?

Do your wipers work?

Circuit 27 in its various forms is one of the run power circuits, it comes from the "start box" if the start box was bad the wipers powered by 27K would not work.
Have you checked CB1? I am looking at a schematic for the 1097/1123 and the only thing powered through CB1 is the fan.

What is your model and serial number?

1097R1 605048. Sorry I am a tad confused what you mean by cb1 the wires running to the blower motor are 400d into 400 out 400 and 399 on the resistor and then 27d, 400, and 399 into the switch. Then over to the blower motor right?

Edit: Did some reading I see what you're talking about. I'll check it and get back to you as soon as I can. It's funny when I bought the truck I had an issue with the engine fan solenoid not kicking on and it ended up being dirt in the connector on the top of the start box. It would be funny if this is the same problem.

27D runs to a circuit breaker, again if it was the start box more items would not be working such as the ww and the gauges
The circuit breakers are near where the resistor for the fan is located, there are two of them.
Do you have a good schematic?

In my signature line you will find a link to PCB/EESS glowplug rebuilding. This contains schematics of the wiring system pin-outs. These schematics will explain why we think your issue is NOT a glow-plug box issue.

So 1 problem was the blower motor. I was able to get the replacement mounted up today and it kicks on. But now I have a new issue. The blower came to life and spun for a bit on lo, but it turns off after a short time and I hear a hollow click sound below the dash that sounds like a breaker tripping? Hi doesn't work at all. When I watch the volt meter it spikes to red then goes back up to yellow and green when the switch is toggled.

Edit: didn't realize yall posted back. So I would assume either I have a bad ground or perhaps one of those breakers are problematic?

You need to study the schematic carefully and make sure the switch and resistor is wired correctly, be careful as that resistor gets hot under normal (low speed) conditions if there is a problem it may get really hot, that clicking is likely the breaker.
It is possible for the breaker to malfunction but not running on high could be a red flag, if you can switch it from high to low and it runs for a little bit then there is another issue with high, if it trips the breaker and will not run the fan on low at all when switched from high to low then it could be a bad breaker or a bad fan motor.
A grounding issue will not usually trip the breaker

my motor was only running when i kicked it. Most of the time. But at some day.. it stops completly.
I disassabled it an found a broken barring. Maybe it is a mechanic issue.
