Found some options, with more accurate prices
Ideally, I would like to cover the entire bed from the back tail gate to the dog house with one piece, making cuts for the shape and around the shifter. For mine, this is 51.5" x 108"ish. Once you get to the back seats the width changes to less than 3'. So, price-wise this might just get too expensive because I would have to cut down something that likely would be 5' x 10'. Compromise is in order.
Found 1/2" x 5' x 7' horse stall mat for $80 to $90 (found one place selling slightly used for half), generally sold in stores like Tractor Supply, so if you live in the city you might need to drive a little. 3/4" mats commonly show up as 4' x 6', though I know Red Barn makes a 3/4" x 5' x 7' as part of a 10' x 10' set. This stuff is heavy so shipping it is stupid expensive - going to want to buy it local.
I looked into neoprene as it has excellent sound insulation properties and it's tough. However, it's about 10x more expensive than a horse stall mat, so I ruled that out for myself, but if you've got deep pockets... I found a place that would custom cut a 4' x 10' piece for $1,100, then I would cut it down to fit - though, again too much $ for me. It's much lighter than vulcanized rubber or a horse stall mat so shipping wouldn't be too stupid especially if you can already afford it.
I also found an interesting product called Viper Deck. It's about 3x more expensive than a horse stall mat, but that's for a 4' x 8', and the reason you might consider this is that one or both sides have raised hard rubber diamond plating. It's used as ground cover for heavy equipment so as a bonus a double sided diamond plate could be used if you ever got stuck in the mud/sand/snow.
Both the horse stall mat and the Viper Deck are heavy at about 2 lbs per sq/ft for 1/2" and 3 lbs for 3/4".
I will likely go with a 5' x 7' mat and cut it down to fit - this will get me to about the back of the front seats. I want a tight fit in the back because I figure with the weight it shouldn't move around too much just laying there.
I made an inquiry with Soundproofcow and gave them my specs and budget and will see if they come up with anything different.
